I know, it almost looks like a brownie. When you sink your teeth into these babies, you’ll know the difference, trust me.

Be ready because your adoring fans will be asking you how in the world you made something so spectacular. This morning, I realized that I’ve shared 19 days worth in our 31 Days of Delicious Easy Recipes series and I haven’t shared anything chocolate yet!

Heaven forbid!

Let’s get onto this “Rock Star” 5 minute fudge secrets, shall we?!

How to Make 5 minute fudge

This recipe’s ingredients and instructions below are printable (and as much of the page as you’d like) by clicking the green “print friendly” button below. Simply “x” out what you don’t want to print.

Here’s the basic idea ->

In a heavy, microwavable bowl I add a box of confectioners sugar, cocoa, and a stick of butter cut into pieces. Pour your liquid flavoring in. DON’T STIR! Microwave for 4-5 minutes. Bowl will be very hot!

Carefully remove the bowl from the microwave and stir quickly and remove lumps. Be very careful because scorching hot chocolate will burn the daylights out of you! Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Anyhoo, work quickly because fudge will start to “set up.” After stirring well, add vanilla and stir just enough to incorporate. Pour into a greased 9×9 or so sized casserole dish. Lick the bowl! Slice into squares when you are ready.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb box of Confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 stick butter cut into pieces
  • 1/4 cup liquid flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • optional: 1/2 Cup nuts

Instructions

  1. In a heavy, microwavable bowl I add a box of confectioners sugar, cocoa, and a stick of butter cut into pieces.
  2. Pour your liquid flavoring in.
  3. DON’T STIR! Microwave for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Bowl will be very hot!
  5. Carefully remove bowl from microwave and stir quickly and remove lumps.
  6. Be very careful because scorching hot chocolate will burn the daylights out of you!
  7. Work quickly because fudge will start to “set up.”
  8. After stirring well, add vanilla (and optional nuts) and stir.
  9. Pour into a greased 9 x 9 baking dish.
  10. Lick the bowl!
  11. Slice into squares when you are ready.

Important Tips

I want to explain the “liquid flavoring.” I got the bright idea to try this whole 5 minute fudge in the microwave and used a Hazelnut Syrup the very first time. As long as you stay strictly to the measurements in this recipe and your “syrup” is the same consistency, you can have fun trying a variation of the syrups depending on your occasion or time of year.

Have fun!

Optional

You could even try a sugar-free version although I haven’t tried that yet (could help since we are using a BOX of sugar)!

Warnings

After making this 5 minute fudge, you’ll find yourself in a love/hate relationship. You’ll love me for sharing this because it tastes so amazing (and you’ll look like a rock star), but you’ll hate me because you won’t be able to stop eating it once you start.

Don’t wait for the holidays to make this 5 minute fudge, my friend.

All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt either.
